Bone stock rebuild of my 71 429 CJ bored .30 over. Just broke engine in for a while and did one power run for fun. Ran on the Dyno with a carb but will have SNiper EFI when installed in the car so it should t be as rich on the top end. I’m happy with the numbers!

For those that want to keep their original PDB master cylinders where are you getting your rebuild kits from as it seems they are either discontinued or out of stock everywhere.

Some original parts from my engine rebuild. I didn’t know that Ford originally used nylon timing chain gears in these engines! Very interesting for sure!

Engines hitting the dyno next week for break in and then some power runs. We are going to run a set of headers and a carb instead of EFI and stock manifolds how I’d run it. I’m not to concerned with the numbers going on the dyno for break-in. Valve covers and distributor will be removed and...

Made some good progress today. Rebuilt the idler pulleys and refurbished the fan, motor mounts, alt bracket, trans mount and the exhaust manifold heat shield. Also started cleaning up the engine compartment but will be focusing on that tomorrow as I’m pretty much done with the engine parts...

I installed a Sniper EFI kit this summer on my 71 and have never looked back.  Starts right up, idles perfectly and the vapor lock that I was experiencing is gone.  While I would have loved to keep my 429 completely stock I wasn’t able to drive it which was killing me.  Looking forward to...

I’m finishing up my tilt column restoration and I appear to be stuck,  I can’t get the ignition rod into the lower actuator.  I feel like I’ve tried everything but I can put get it the last 1/16”.  Any ideas?
