    calling all motor heads!!

+1 on the 393. The bigger motor will let it be more street able with less gear. Even stock dished piston 351w with a little cylinder head work and a small cam will move a truck good so your car even with tall gears will work with less effort.

How much HP do you think this build has?

Bunch of variables on the op's combo. That could be as low as 230 to around 270ish rwhp depending on the correction of the Dyno. The Carcraft article can be duplicated. I have accesses to a Dyno 3 miles from home and have done many stock bottom end 90's 302's that made 330-350 at the tire...

    mustang week myrtle beach

Update on Mustang Week, I live only 4 hrs away and never made it till this year. I gave my daughter a pretty nice 71 fastback and we drove it down and back. We had a blast and there were only a few 71-73's down there. This is good event to take a vacation and check out.

    .040 cleveland temp.

Just a little update on cooling. My biggest help so far was ditching the huge water pump pulley to speed the fan up at idle and fixing a few air leaks around the shroud. The hot air it moves at idle now will burn your hand while setting the idle so it is moving more air I drove in slow...

    .040 cleveland temp.

I was leaning toward that ac kit. I have a similar set up with a hydraulic cam. My buddy has a dyno 3 miles from my house so I should have numbers soon, maybe even a 1/8 mile slip.

    .040 cleveland temp.

Been working a bunch and not getting anything done on the mustang but some stripes and seats. Thanks for the info I see there a some sharp guys in here. The aluminum fox radiator was tried because I already know it will cool a 11:1 windsor. I had a new npd shroud that i had to trim just a bit...

    .040 cleveland temp.

Thanks for the input. I do have the disc below the thermostat and I have a thermostat with the piece on the bottom that covers that hole and forces the water to circulate. Since it does run cool going down the road I already assumed it was an airflow problem. I have a fox body aluminum...

    .040 cleveland temp.

I have a flat top 351c with closed chamber heads that heats up at idle. I have added a aluminum radiator and flex fan with shroud and it still heats up slowly. Every change I have made has helped a bit but after discovering it is .040 over is it possible to keep cool. I have the correct...

    Hi from central NC

I have always been into 65-68's and later dozens of foxbodys. Now my daughter wanted a 71-73 so we got a nice driver and it is growing on me fast. I have deep drag racing roots and can help with poor performance with a budget. I have ported some 150 sets of heads and made many fast street cars.
