so after having a bunch of ignition work done I have a wierd noise that only starts with heavy acceleration. Noise does not sound if I accelerate at what I would call a normal speed, but when you get on it, the noise is there and just briefly. I'm having trouble describing the noise.....

when I googled fuel bowl bolts, they show them with a fuel bowl gasket. I shouldn't need to replace these correct? I aslo added a pic showing the discoloration i was talking about. sorry, pic is sideways... pic of fuel bowl screws discoloration

Kit- there are 8 of these fuel bowl screws correct? I snugged up all 8 ( they were all a tad loose). I did this before adjusting anything on the carb. Do I need new fuel bowl bolts and gaskets? I see discoloration by the corner screws indicating some leakage??

No they did not. I had a compression check done before I bought the car a year ago and it was good. I plan to buy a vacuum gauge and check for leaks. more to come.... thank you for your input!

Thanks 72HCODE, I will check this out. The back trace on the unattached hose can be seen in my picture. It connects to the front of the air filter housing. The blue raised portion of where the air filter sits. Not sure of the technical terminology.

Guys, one more quick update for the night. I started the car up and it smells super "rich" while idling poorly. it revs up fine. At idle it seems to work really hard and again there is a Strong fuel/ exhaust smell under the good. I wished one of you guys lived here In KC!!

ok, so I took some pics for review. I noticed the aluminum coil hose was disconnected(pic 4), the plastic black ring around the carb is broken? I see a loose black wire(pic 3), not sure if this is important? I also have a pic of the filter, looks dirty to me? Do any of these things add up to...

Ok, so I just went out to the garage and the car fired right up! Still idles poorly. I'm green when it comes to this. Where is the Pcv hose locate? It was likely flooded yesterday. Thanks!
