Looking for ideas on 'retro' switch/indicator lights

Well, I've already got that half-inch hole where the parking brake warning light is supposed to be and let's face it...never going to find one of those. :)

Looking for ideas on 'retro' switch/indicator lights

This has me thinking seriously of wiring up an ignition switch using this: http://www.pacificcustoms.com/k4s13-221.html and this: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9278 Put in the key, put it in run, flip up the cover, switch on, and push up to crank. :)

What are the safest jack points?

Definitely not planning to leave it on the jack any longer than is required to get it down onto the stands.

What are the safest jack points?

I'd be really disappointed if they didn't. ;) Ok. this was my initial inclination for the rear end, but I wasn't sure whether or not it was safe to jack the car up from the pumpkin.

What are the safest jack points?

So, I bought my '71 vert last fall and I haven't had reason to jack it up until now. I'm wondering what are the safest points for the jack to lift the car and to place the jack stands. If someone can recommend safe lift and jack points for front and rear, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Question for the IT Members

For the record, I'm a Unix/Linux sysadmin, not a Windows guy. That being said, I would not count on a clean restore by the backup system. Your best bet would be to pull the old drive (as has been suggested) and use an external enclosure to connect it to the new computer.

NICE! Some very good looking rides at that event including some I really didn't expect to see, like a '70 Javelin Trans-Am. Very, very sweet!

1965-1973 HID Headlight Conversion Kits High/Low

I haven't used the HIDs but I just replaced my old headlamps with the Scott Drake halogen replacements and they're at least 2x brighter than the filament lamps that were in there. I'm not crazy about the color temp of most of the HID kits I've seen. Halogen gives a nice, white illumination...

Not a Mustang Boss 429 in 75 Ranchero

The engine is nice and all, but man, oh man, that hand-painted woodgrain is just SICK.

Looks like somebody started removing the old paint and got bored.

    Finally got Marti Rpt

Bill73Ragtop: You might want to check this listing. Guy doesn't mention wanting a convertible but he may just not have considered it. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/wan/4308866742.html

    Map light delete panel

Does anyone have a tracing or a measured drawing of the map light delete panel? I'm going to need to fab one (and I'm thinking about building something into it) and need the exact dimensions. Thanks. EDIT: If someone can measure the thickness and trace the thing for me, that would be equally...

What "odd" things has your car been called?

Yeah. I get a lot of "what year" but not a lot of "What kind of car is that."
  20. G

How did you get your cool carz?

Already told this elsewhere, but I bought mine off of my Father-in-Law's friend Mickey who was doing some carpentry for us and was looking to sell the car on (he'd had it about 15 years).
