I'm definitely getting 2 shots of fuel when I manually open up the carb. Does this mean I can rule out the accelerator pump being the problem? Also, my plugs and wires look like they're in good shape, but they are probably 10 years old.

Help, my car won't go! I'm running a totally stock 302-2v and I just had the carb rebuilt. It fires up and idles great and when I rev the engine, it seems fine. It seems good when I put it in gear, but when I hit the gas it wants to stall. It sputters and hesitates until I let up on the gas...

I just had my carb rebuilt. Ever since I put it back on I've been having the same problem. Last night I took it for a spin and was choking on fumes the whole time. Strong fumes at a stop light or at 50mph. I haven't touched the exhaust, and I thought I had the carb dialed pretty well.

So in the picture that Chuck sent, if you remove the choke pulloff, the diagrams I've seen display a spring under it. But when I removed it there wasn't one. I have been having some issues of the car bogging down when I accelerate and I'm wondering if the spring not being there could be the cause.
