I just bought the Covercraft 5 layer indoor cover because it should hopefully provide some bump and scratch protection from my kids. I know for awhile we used to throw a couple of King sized cotton sheets (lower thread count).
I finally had the time to get the tires mounted on the rims. I went with 245/60 Front and 255/60 Rear. I am very pleased with the stance and fitment. One day I’ll work up the courage to try 295’s but at this juncture I don’t have the resources to mess around with fitment issues. Thank you...
Good timing for this thread to crop up. I was also thinking about it down the road. Deep in my soul, I’m a romantic so I’m not quite ready to give up the carb. I follow this kid on Youtube and he runs a pretty good channel. He has a 65 with a 289 and FiTech hooked him up with a FI system and he...
I was able to take some time to test fit the wheels. Looks pretty good. The front comes pretty close to the upper ball joint. Also, doe s anyone know what the diameter of the hub is?
Those look good! I might go with the 255’s to give me just a little more footprint than the 245's. I am afraid of a rub situation with the fender. My suspension is stock and possibly sagging a little. I think eventually I’m going to have to invest in some new leaf springs. Even though this...
Found a company called “Trans Am Race Engineering that reproduces the Minilite wheels. I bought 15x8 with 4.5BS and received them a few days ago. I’m planning on 245/60’s up front and maybe 255/60’s rear, but I am tempted to try 295/50’s. What do you guys/gals think?
That isn’t mine, YET. That’s a photo capture from a Youtuber named “Autoedit”. He has a video of him operating that shifter and you can get a sense lf where it will sit. It is the one I’m going to choose once I can get my T-5 installed.
Exactly! When it comes down to it, they’re just filling a magazine with words to sell products. Maybe it’s just the inner child in me, but I only read it for the pictures.
I’ve been toying with the idea. For myself, I would only do the hood, frontal area, and front fenders. If you have the whole car it can get pretty pricey, around $5000. Xpel is a good brand of wrap that can self heal if it’s damaged.
I had them on my car for a long time. I think they were from the 1990’s. I took my car into a classic car service shop for an oil change and the owner called me and told me he couldn’t believe that the tires hadn’t failed yet. I suppose that’s a testament to the build quality or my luck. They...
