    1971 Hurst shifter

Thanks for the replies, yes the shifter is long gone but I still have the stick. I can’t remember the guys name that used to reproduce the ‘70 stick but I spoke to him a couple weeks ago and he said he was out and didn’t foresee having anymore reproduced. I thought maybe this would be a cheap...

    1971 Hurst shifter

I recently picked up a ‘70 Mach 1 and am starting to locate some missing pieces which leads me to this question. I have a couple extra Hurst 4 speed shifters out of ‘72  Mach 1’s and was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to remove the chrome stick from the ‘72 shifter and replace it...

    Trim Panels

Does anyone know if there is such thing as a company that can restore plastic trim panels, I have a set of fold down seat quarter trim panels that will require a lot more than simply scrubbing and painting them, they have some scratches that will be too noticeable for me to live with, at least...

    Spare Tire Mount

Would anyone happen to have a spare tire mount for a fold down seat car? Previous owner removed the original one on my car.

Sounds easy enough, what about the rust in the threaded holes, no chance of it eating away at the threads?

I went and checked the size of the valve spring studs, both ends measured 7/16", or I should say both ends would not fit in the 3/8" hole on the gauge. Also I took a Ford bell housing bolt and it threaded in fine.

I didn't mean to make this confusing, I have two sets, the D1AE heads and the rusty D0AE sets. I was just curious about the D1AE heads with the screw in studs. I'll check the thread size of the studs on the D1AE heads tomorrow and let you know.

I'm not going to sell them, it was one of those things that I was just wanting to know for myself if they were a little better than the average head. I got these back in 1985 with a couple 4 bolt main blocks and they've been wrapped up ever since.

Thank you for your input. Not sure if I should save these and use a different set of closed chamber heads??? These are in very good shape just a little dirty. I bought them and two 4 bolt main blocks back in 1985 for a '73 Gran Torino Sport, wrapped them up in plastic and put them in a closet...

Would the OM4 be December 4, 1970? If that's correct, could that possibly be an early 1971 Boss 351 head? Or are these just a basic 351 4V closed chamber head? Is there any other way of figuring out for sure what they are? Thanks

I took some more pics of the head I had the questions about, also some pics of another set of heads I have to compare them to. If you see anything that stands out to you, let me know, I'm still not so sure about the heads that have the paint on them. I almost think those screw in studs were not...
