I tested the coil. Primary is 1.8 secondary is 9.75

I am getting 12 volts closed but only .03 open. What would cause this?

That makes sense but i would have to constantly adjust the dizzy to start it every day.

What should the voltage be open and closed? That way i know what's good and what's bad.

It does crank. It has points. It was at tdc on compression. It just wont run. I could not set the timing with a light because it had the wrong chain in it before and now i don't want to kill my starter by cranking forever to time it. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk

The primary resistance they lost is 1.4 but when i textest it it reads 2.0.

So i just bought a new accel 12v coil. Dies it need a full 12 volts to spark or can i use factory wiring?

Is the wire from the distributor supposed to be connected to the - side of the coil?

Spark plugs are all dry.

It is. I checked all of them.

Havent checked every plug cylinder 1 is consistent with the old coil
