    Black

I fondly remember those days of sex, drugs and rock and roll. At least I think I remember. I may have done to much LSD to know for sure... .:-)

    Slow Website

Is it just me or is this web site extremely slow? It seems that advertising gets priority. I understand that the site needs revenue but as a mustang driver I could give a crap what Martha Stewart is hawking.

    Black

Very Nice... I did the same thing. My interior was originally Corinthian Blue. I couldn't find matching paint so also converted to all black. Besides what were they thinking back in the 70's buying a car with corinthian blue or lime green interiors . The horror.... :)

    Front Suspension Refresh?

Addendum, If you do manage to get it to the point were you also have removed your upper control arm then do take a close look at the shock tower. Almost all Mustangs have shock tower cracks and while the control arm is removed is a good time to do some welding. The shock towers are a...

    Front Suspension Refresh?

Would like to add my .02 here. I have recently completely rebuilt my front end. Everything was replaced. Most of it is straight forward, you will need a ball joint tool to separate the ball joints. As giantpune remarks, the spring compression part can be very dangerous. If the spring let's go...

    CJ or 4V

Rick@NPD, Thanks for taking the time to add to the conversation and taking the pictures. Your comments support what I have heard in the past...that marketing and engineering were not on the same page for 73. I think I'll get a sticker that say's 351-4V CJ as per Marti...that will really mess...

    CJ or 4V

Iv'e made a lot of non stock changes to the exterior but would like to keep the engine bay as accurate as possible. I agree with you regarding it's my car and I'll make it as unique as I see fit.

    CJ or 4V

Hi Guy's I have a question for the experts here concerning Cobra Jet or 4V nomenclature. I have a 73 Q code 4V Cleveland. I have heard many stories on whether the 73 4V can be considered a CJ. As I understand it. For 71 and 72 the Sales literature used the CJ wording to describe the 4V...

How do I deal with this?

Probably best thing to do is remove your old pan, clean it up and see what you've got. It looks like it's after market anyway. I don't believe that the original had the cut outs and was a solid pan. I replaced the pan in my mustang almost 10 years ago and it still look's great and was an easy...

How do I deal with this?

That p/n I listed is not for a 73 so ignore but you get the idea. NPD also lists a new tray for a 73. Will just need to do your homework for fitment etc...

How do I deal with this?

Hi Stan Personally I wouldn't bother. You can buy a complete tray kit with hold downs and everything for $36 at NPD. p/n #10732-1CPK True it's a repro but it's under the battery anyway. No one will see it. The repro tray is good quality and the same if not thicker gauge than the original...

    71 Mach 1 - Novice Restoration

Hi Zach, Looks like you are starting with good bones. I don't see anything that can't be fixed. I think that it's great that a 19 year old is this into "yesteryear" muscle. Don't forget to take time out's to go do 19 year old stuff. Keep us posted during your build. Regards Ray Q.

72 convertible in need of evrythng

I just checked Barret Jackson . A red 73 Convertible with a 302 and Auto sold for 66K. I guess the 71-73 generation of Mustang is starting to appreciate. Good to see that.

72 convertible in need of evrythng

BTW, You can't weld on rust so the first thing you would need to do is completely disassemble the car and have it sand blasted. Only then will you know what you really have and what your going to need. Once all of the welding is done you will also need to do a chemical dip to protect all of...
