Hi, The chrome strip and rubber come off as one piece (soft hammer or piece of timber to avoid marking glass). You may be able to remove and re-install without removing the window. Not sure on this as I did mine when installing the quarter window wind down conversion. I think you may damage...

I have one as well. I drive mine whenever I feel the urge rain hail or shine. Works a treat - one of the best mods you can do I reckon. I'm 6'4 and having to reach forward all the time to turn the wipers on and of in drizzle sucked. Shane
