    Worst hood paint ever

Speaking of the Foose car,I don’t like the Foose car. He did not appreciate the SR-71 inspired eccentricities of the 71-73 design. He thought he need to “fix” it by turning it into a more classic muscle 69-70 looking stang. He did a hell of a job but Why not just start with a 70 to begin with? I...

    Worst hood paint ever

Yes you are right to point that out. I hope the mechanic and the painter were not the same guy. That pattern defiantly requires Care , the satin/ matte black often gives painters fits too. When I bought my 71 Mach 1 the hood Had like a crinkle matte charcoal Texture but I had it repainted in a...

    Finally some pictures

It’s not too often people improve on the factory interior when they make changes but you sure did. That is a tasteful combination of black, green, and wood. I have not seen an example of that exterior color before. I really like it. The Cragar wheels really compliment the bright trim work...

3 years in the making! Proud to introduce my 71!!

Man that is a classy looking Mach 1! I love the corporate wheel covers. I never see people use them and they complete the retro futuristic supersonic look. The cars in the films the Mechanic with Charles Bronson and Diamonds are forever sport those wheels on those early examples of the 71. If I...

It helped a lot with weight but kind of a nutty price to pay to save a few hundred pounds. It could handle a lot more power but it is limited by me wanting to keep the ram air functional which meant a low rise intake ( Torker II) and the fact that I wanted to use the factory exhaust manifolds...

Total Control & Street or Track & Global West Strut Rod & Lower Control Arms

I am sorry to take 5 years to reply Don lol, I really have no idea but that is an excellent question. If I had to guess it was the deteriorated stuff so not a fair comparison to true stock condition.

Total Control & Street or Track & Global West Strut Rod & Lower Control Arms

Hello, I have a 71 mach 1 that has been undergoing a total overhaul of the powertrain and suspension and I recently took it on a test drive for the first time. I did the complete front end coilover varishock conversion along with the power rack and pinion steering, and the leaf spring and...
