I don’t know why mine had a gap between.it looks the same bracket as yours. Mine is a11/71 build date. The grille is aftermarket. I could have drawn it up closer but didn’t want to crack it. Everything else lined up well though.

Yes that does help. My harness doesn’t have a connector on it I’ll have to splice into it somehow.

Wondering if any one has a picture of where a under hood light is mounted. Assembly manual doesn’t give any measurements. I would assume tab on the end of bracket fits into a location hole. I have a new hood on my 72 Mach 1

I used Eastwood under hood headliner material and a tmi headliner. Happy with both products.

Could be 73 bracket. It did have front end damage at one point in its life.I replaced rad.support and front inner fender aprons and grille. Problem solved with some jam nuts. Thanks for everyone’s imput.

Thanks for the pics John. So there is a spacer between the brace and grille. Looks like you have a nut and washer wondering if that’s the way they were built?

Finishing restoration on my 72 mach 1 wonder why the center grille support is almost 1” between support and grille. anything supposed to between there. Grille was missing when bought car.

read the post on flex fans. I am restoring 1972 mach 1 Q code. Looks like I have a flex fan. I did get extra clutch fan when I bought the car part # c8oe-b looks like came off 68-69 390 car. Trouble is it doesn’t fit the water pump shaft.enclosing a couple of picks. Any advice appreciated
