Go ahead and take tube out with transmission full and tell me if you get any fluid all over floor, I pulled hundreds of transmission s when I worked at a transmission shop if trans properly filled it WILL run all over floor, you have to remember that fluid level checked while engine running and...
Pretty simple ,
Drain fluid from pan
Unbolt dipstick tube from bellhousing.
pull tube straight out.
remove doing from tube.
clean tube
install new oring & lube (important)
Slide tube back into transmission ( do not cut oring )
Reinstall mounting bolt.
refill transmission with fluid.
I am having exhaust done on 72 Mach 1 with Booker long tube headers ,I am going with H pipe but we are making it removable , I like sound of h pipe over x
If you go roller cam which is a great idea may consider a custom from someone such as Ed Curtis or Brent Lykins both whom understand what a Cleveland with iron 4V heads require
Also you have to remember you have to cam a 4V headed engine totally different than a 2V headed engine to retain some low speed torque no to mention compression difference
i would go with edelbrock performer 4V intake ( for 2V heads ) and a good carb choice would be the Summit brand carb in 600 cfm, they have annular boosters for good carb signal
I am old school & not sure how to post pictures , I have tough time texting them , the 65 Cyclone was super nice done like BFX with dual quads the works lots of Holman Moody parts of was tough to let go
