    73 Mustang Coupe Molding

Does anyone know where I can get new interior molding? I can find one or two pieces here and there but for a crazy price. I have about two pieces that are old and cracked to a point they can’t be fixed. I’ve been everywhere. eBay, Facebook marketplace, google, etc. do y’all have a better idea...

73 Mustang with TKX 600 Tremec

I’ll be sure to post it on here. Dark metallic red, hints of metallic gold here and there. And black paint I think would accent the chrome trim nicely along with factory tinted windows.

73 Mustang with TKX 600 Tremec

That makes sense. I’m running a crate 347 with the TKX 600, and I did some body modifications to the car. I’m really close to having running again and then off for a very pricy paint job. But this is the car I have. Before and after.

How do y’all feel about the fiberglass drive shafts? how do y’all feel about the carbon fiber drive shafts. Based on what I see they are pretty solid. I’m planning on using my old one but figured I’d ask

That might have to get cut to fit in place. I’m hoping not though

73 Mustang with TKX 600 Tremec

I appreciate the advice. I’m in the process of running a new wiring harness and it’s a blast. Especially since I swapped out the tailights which will hurt die hard mustang fans. I went with the 68 Shelby bar sequential tailights

I was asking because I have a two wire hookup on mine

What did you do for the wiring of your transmission? Mine didn’t come with any clips. And I’m not sure what my plan is to wire it in yet

I’ll definitely let y’all know how the crossmember works out. I know I’m not the only one that’s dealing with this issue. Hopefully it helps someone have options down the line. I had to get a spacer to mount the transmission to my bellhousing. So that was an interesting experiment there.

I bought this one, I’m just slightly worried about it being solid enough

73 Mustang with TKX 600 Tremec

Everything lined up with the shifter opening, it’s just an issue with the depth of the crossmember not being big enough. I bought a different one today that hopefully will work. All the stores say certain crossmembers will work but they don’t. I’ll try this one and let you know if it works out...

I do have the TKX, the mounting slot pushes the transmission up. I’m swapping out a T10 Borg Warner for the TKX

I have the TKX, I was on the phone with summit for a long time and they said it would work. Unfortunately it does not

I think that might work. Comparing it to my other crossmember it provides more of a gap to put the transmission mount in place.

73 Mustang with TKX 600 Tremec

So here is where it gets fun. I have a Tremec TKX 600 that I am installing in my 73 Mustang, obviously I couldn’t use the original crossmember so I bought one and was told it would work. I’ll attach the photo. Once I installed it I realized that I now only have about 1/2” clearance before the...

    73 Mustang Hardtop Strut Rods

Thank you, that was my thought process but wanted to get someone else’s opinion. I kept seeing that you tighten the front bolt then do the lower control arm last which made no sense to me.

    73 Mustang Hardtop Strut Rods

I appreciate it, that definitely helps a lot. One other question would be. Do I secure the two bolts that go to the Lower control arm, then tighten the back of the strut rod before moving to the front?
