So for sure, you’ve got to check all of the battery connections, and the positive side from the battery to the solenoid. Those sparks and such are sign of bad/corroded connections. What did you do to the fuel system after receiving the vehicle? Unless you know for a fact it’s good, I would remove the fuel line from both ends, blow it out, change the fuel filter, and pull the carb and check to make sure it isn’t full of old gas tank junk.Where are you in Ca?
