Need some quick advice. Do I have to install the struts to put the car down. Not moving it just installing aprons. Will the lower control arms sit ok w/o struts attached?

Thanks

D. Rolls

No. If you are talking about the struts that go from the lower A frame to the front, you can lower the car without them. You can move it a little front/back but you DO NOT want to drive it this way.

I replaced my stock struts with some aftermarket that have some heim joints. Worth the $$$$

The stock design was cheap to produce but it was a real compromise.

Hey thanks. I have to line up all my aprons and want to set the car down to make sure it's not twisted being on jacks.

Where did you get the aftermarket struts?

Global West. If you go to my garage, in the modifications section there is a picture of them.

They use a larger bolt on the lower control arm than stock and the holes need to be drilled. If you are going to go this route and have the lower arms off, that's the easiest time to drill them. They are made of really hard steal.
