OK, I have never put aftermarket wheels on any of my cars since the 1971 Barracuda. I suck at offset and all that stuff... I tried searching, but I guess I suck at that too.

I found a set of 2013 Mustang wheels and tires for pretty cheap. They are 17x8 and google tells me they have a 45mm offset. The car is currently 4 wheel drum and google says the lug pattern is good, so I'm pretty sure they will bolt up.

Anyone have any cheers or jeers for me?

With 17x8 you need to be very careful with the upper ball joints up front.

Plus you will need spacers (or adapters) to compensate for the modern offset.

They might fit without those but if will not look good as the wheels will disappear inside the wheel wells.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. So those wheels will eat ball joints?

I put 2003 Mach1 wheels on my 72. Without the 1 1/2" or so spacers the wheel hit the upper control are. You must use the spacers. You can buy the billet aluminum ones cheap now. The kit I bought back then was around $250. You need space the rears too. About 1/2".
