I had ruled out the Funnelweb long ago as a candidate for my 408c build due to it being 1-3/8" taller than an RPM Air Gap intake. I was told that an XB Falcon with the NASA hood will fit clear the hood when fitted with a 3" drop base air cleaner. Have any of you tried to fit a Funnelweb under the hood? It's my understanding that the answer is a resounding NO, but wanted to ask, just to be sure. I'm wondering if, by design, the Falcon has more hood to engine clearance than a Mustang.
