My Car
71 sportsroof, 351C 2V, FMX, 3.50 9" Getting a 72 351C HO
67 Cougar A code with a 351C 2v.
65-70-72 GTO along with a dozen other Pontiacs.
The build thread I started is in the interior section now, not sure where to continue it. I am back on it now, have parts on the way and I figured I would share with you guys. I'll have lots of video of it since I am doing it for my YT channel too. If its not cool to post YT video here, I'll just upload it locally.

I called it the Pit of Despair, and I started work on it in 2005, had to stop in 2007, then had to move in 2013 and rebuild my life. Now I have a much better shop with a lift, and my skills have improved a little bit. I need to get it done kinda fast so I can get to other builds. So rather than making it a show car or something its going to be low buck but well done and as reliable as I can make it. Only a handful of upgrades, like Granada discs up front, and maybe 4V heads.

Lets see who remembers this thing.

You'll fit in well here once again. Our love/hate for these cars never goes away. At least not for long.
I've liked them since the 80s, even though I am not a HUGE fan, I think they are cool. I am more of a GTO type. I have four of those, one is worse than this Mustang was (its a 69 GTO). The black one with the blower is a LeMans I built just because why not. Also have a 67 Cougar and a 92 F150 I should rebuild. It was a good truck. Not a fan of chevys, but I really like Cleveland and Pontiac engines.

No I am not rich, I am old and have had most of these for a long time.

I love the diversity! I too have different brand vehicles. Although I do not have any right now, I have had many GTO's LeMans, and Firebirds in my lifetime. I had a streak there from 16 to mid 20's where I had 8 GTO's, 16 Firebirds all T/A's except 2 Formulas, a couple LeMans and a 74 Catalina vert with a 455. That Cat could pass anything but a gas station, LOL. I would love to build a GTO/GTO clone, but the cars are pricey, and the parts are even pricier, maybe someday, haha.

I love your 65, I had a 65 vert in as I remember pretty much the same color. The 70 GTO in Aztec Gold was always a favorite of mine, I had a 70 Lemans in Aztec Gold back in the day with a built 455 and 4-speed, I loved that car. My LeMans had Cragar SST's on it, is that what your wheels are, they look like them.

BTW, pretty sweet Cougar too.

My dad left me a combo breaker...its the only Plymouth I have. Everyone thinks I am super rich with the cars I drive, but really I just build cool stuff out of junk. Didn't built the Cuda, dad left it to me because he knew it would be cared for and everything fixed that needs it. Kinda fun to drive, and not the car you want to use if you plan to rob a bank or something.

The 70 has Centerline Autodrags on it, I have 3 sets of those, and a set of Champ 500s with the big round holes that were popular in the 80s and early 90s. Most of those wheels came with cars I bought, all the new wheels I've picked up were the cheap stuff. The centerlines have the 5x4.75 pattern, so they won't fit my Fords and Mopar. Not sure what wheels I will use on the Mustang, I guess it depends on if I do the PSMCD thing or not. Have some guys who are offering up the manifolds, so we'll see.

As for Pontiacs being spendy, when it comes to body panels GTOs are about the same as these Mustangs, Firebirds are a lot cheaper, and suspension parts cost more for Mustangs and Cougars because you buy the entire control arm, rather than just replace the bushings like my GM cars. Not complaining, just noticed how much it costs to rebuild a Mustang like this.

Want to know what bothers me about Fords? How some guys will cut out the shock towers, put a Mustang II front end under it, then put in a weak suck 4.6 mod motor like that is an upgrade. A supercharged 5.0 or 5.4 four valve mod engine, ok I can kinda see that, but you can make a ton of power with Lima or Cleveland engines too.. and with a lot less effort than fitting a tiny displacement in a huge chunk of metal mod engine. Its worse than how people stuff LS engines in everything, because you have to cut up the car to much to put a Coyote or whatever in it. I'll get off my soap box now.
