Two things, the first I recommend that you buy the concourse bolt kit. Using hardware store fasteners don't have the gripping surfaces that Ford designed for. The build/assembly manual has notes in many places that specify no substitutes on certain fasteners, these were likely dot/crash tested...

The movement or positioning forward or backward doesn't make a difference. But if you wanted to weld it, cooling off with water between tack welds would limit any damage.

You are correct some of the pieces are solid colors, some are mixed shades, on the plastic quarter trims I use the ginger aerosol interior paint, with panels removed laying on large paper area on the floor, I mist them with the two cans from about 24" away, some times 36" with a single color...

It's something that can be fixed, but if you are paying a shop it's likely more than it's worth. I'd get the payoff and keep the car and fix it.

That 65 in the lead position of the base part number indicates that it's a coupe part. 63 there for fastback.

The stud screws into a threaded piece on the base, you can drill a hole and use a nutsert.

When I did mine +15 yes ago, I couldn't find the wide ones, I had to improvise. Mounted two sets of the thinner ones that supported the glass exterior. I believe I had to mount the lower one to a piece of new metal 3"x30" to get it in the correct position.

There are typically gutters under the back window that channel water to the edge then drain into the wheel wells. So if you have them, your WW's would fill with water.

They are not numbered, if you are trying to purchase one, better to use the other nomenclature.
