Convertible Seat Platform Bolts

I replaced the floors and seat platforms on my 1971 Mustang convertible and had a question about the stud that the seats attach to on the seat platform (see pic below). Does anyone know how this stud gets attached? Is it attached before the seat platform is welded in place or after? Do they sell this bolt as a reproduction?

If memory serves me correctly, that is a stud that is threaded into the insert. It helps to locate and install the seat once the carpet is installed.

The stud screws into a threaded piece on the base, you can drill a hole and use a nutsert.
