My J-Code has the stainless strips AND hockey stripes. But I would not be at all surprised to find out that the original owner had the stripes added either by the dealer (they were family) or after some bodywork he had to have done.

Since we grenaded the old Mallory YC, we installed a new electronic unit. Then we discovered that, despite what we thought was a thorough flushing - the gas tank is still full of crap and varnish, which was causing all kinds of engine issues. So, we're getting a new tank kit this week. So still...

Most of mine are shot. They are kind of funky dichromate acorn nuts (you know what they are if you know what they are ;) ). Can't seem to find a suitable replacement anywhere.
