Depends on the car and how it is equipped. For a coupe, Grande or Sportsroof, would be body color.

If the car has lower body color correct to be argent or black - the rear valence is the same.

If it came with Argent then it should be Argent. I wonder what determined black or argent with Grabber Blue I have seen it both ways on Mach 1s. I have only seen one Boss 351 with black on Grabber Blue.

mweeps,

All exterior paint colors use black stripes EXCEPT...

1971...A,C,J,6

1972/73...4Q,3K,4C

003.jpgIf he's not going concours, I"d say it's preference. Mine was born yellow. The guy that put my car together left the back body color + I don't mind it at all, but that's me.:D

and has the lower chrome moldings on sides.

Since he has the moldings... is he doing 2 tone on the lower / rocker area - if so valance would match the rockers

my vert came with the lower chrome molding, so no lower body/valance contrast paint. I like the contrast because it creates the illusion of our cars being sleeker, especially from rear 3/4 view on the sportsroof. also since the rear and front valances are attached panels it's provides even more of an optical illusion. On my vert the single paint color all the way down makes the rear quarters look bulky imo. and verts have the smallest rear quarters i believe. Ole Pony has black lowers and clearly makes the body look trimmer.
