    SN71

No worries, I just wanted to put it out there for anyone not knowing. Incidentally, look at the NCP271 spec sheet, the words "high build" are missing in the description but is on the D822. I got into a "pissing contest" with another member a year ago regarding using urethane primers. Both of...

    SN71

FYI. we did some comparisons today. D822 is NOT the same consistency as NCP271. Its a little thinner out of the can AND its only $5.00 cheaper per gallon so thanks for the tip but I'm staying with D822. My PPG distributor tells me its not as high a build and know I believe it. D822 is the...

    SN71

You may want to use the blades made by Exactline products. Its the best contouring tool I've ever found. Putting on bondo (3M 1171 is the bomb) so exact that it spreads shiny with nearly NO sanding required. Perfect, straight contours every time. A MUST when you are doing a black car you want...

    KigerStang gets Shelby tail

The only thing I never was fond of on the 71-73 was the rear tail lights. So I decided to put 1968-70 Shelby tails on this project. This is a temporary setting to show the look. A new bezel with LED back up lights and chrome inlay will be added along with a custom wrap around rear spoiler. Due...

    Sound Deadener/insulation question.

how much to do the entire trunk and passenger compartment? Good point. Second skin makes a thickener that when you add it to their spray on product becomes a thick sludge. Its actually called sludge. You put it on with a putty knife and it hardens and has good adhesion. This may be a good...

    Sound Deadener/insulation question.

I havent used this but it looks like it may be a good product. It is Butyl based (not asphalt) so thats a good thing. Keep us posted. Butyl based so it should be a good product. Keep us posted and maybe Ill try this next.

    Sound Deadener/insulation question.

DO NOT use asphalt based sound deadener in your vehicle. Unless you want it to smell like a tar pit. ONLY use butyl based products. Of course Butyle based materials are more costly (Dynamat for example) but you can get a hybrid material that is much cheaper and doesnt put off an odor or not...
