    EXCELLENT Paint brand

BTW, in the long run D822 is CHEAPER than using SPIs EPOXY and then going back with 2K primer.... I just sold myself! I sure hope TAMCO can duplicate the MSDS! This will be a killer product if it were 1/2 the price.

    EXCELLENT Paint brand

Scott: Typical Epoxy, you are correct. This EPOXY ELIMINATES the need for a 2K urethane high fill. Which is why I LIKE IT! 2K primers keep shrinking for up to year after they are applied. D822 does 98% of its total shrinking in the first 48 HOURS!!!!!. SUPER HIGH BUILD, TWICE that of the SPI...

    EXCELLENT Paint brand

UPDATE: Since SPI recommends only their cleaner, I had to order that. So much for painting the rear fenders on the outside but I decided since the under wheel wheels were going to get second skin sound coating anyway, I would shoot the wheel wells with the SPI Epoxy. It sprays nice enough but...

    Wife friendly six speed

The wife is starting to get into the Kiger Stang now that the control system is being designed. So she throws a wrench in the works yesterday and wants an Automatic so she can drive it. ARGH:-/ I just hate automatics, two pedals are for paddleboats... ....... Since Im building the...

    EXCELLENT Paint brand

Thanks, QCode. I ordered a gallon from Andy at SPI just now. Ill be doing an A/B with Tamco and report back. ;) BTW, if you speak with Ben at TAMCO and find out his credentials, I dont think you would mind being his test subject. He REALLY knows his paint. He actually developed several of the...

this guy must be high on something other then price

I remember when people said I paid too much for my 60 vette. ( $27K) for a 100% original, 44,000 mile car. Its not worth over $65! And my 63 split??? Over $150K, so value is in the eyes of the beholder. Especially when egos get in the way. If someone that has money really wants it, it will...

Pet peave - companies just not needing your biz

As a 100% USA made manufacturer, I can ASSURE you we are in a deep recession. If you look at the people in malls buying ...(mostly women) Notice what they pay with.... CREDIT! NOT CASH... The same with our government... The dollar will collapse due to this by 2016. Mark my words. Like Equador in...

Does anyone else notice that MANY, no all but MANY Internet companies out there simply do not answer their phones or return their emails???? I find it strange that you have to beg to get people to talk with you. I mean really? We are in a Depression (thank you King Obama) and as a business...

    72 Wheel Tub part 2

The first part of this series showed the placement of new rear frame rails mounted inward to allow 4" more clearance than the stock frame. Today I cut out the old frame and positioned the new 15.5" wide by 16" deep wheel Tub. Here are some progress photos: The new frame with the old cheap...

cruise night and wife made me proud

LOL, Reminds me of the time someone got in our car in a show. Didnt ask, just opened the door and sat down. My wife says, hey do you think this is a used car lot?? Women can get away with this stuff, guys just get in fights. Great moments, you always remember.

    new rear look

No worries about hijacking this thread. Thanks for the Headlight link. I think those HLs are the perfect look. BTW, I decided to do a billet custom rear light set up. Im going to use LED tubes.. 2 that go across the entire back to be used as a third stop light inside the SS billets and then...

    Wheel tubs making "some" headway

In order to get 34530R20's under the KigerStang, I need 15" of wheel space by16" Radius deep wells. First thing that must be done is replace the rear frame rails and position them inside and parallel. This affords two more inches of width in the front and 4" in the back. The wells Im using are...

    new rear look

Im swaying towards the Spyder lights: http://www.carid.com/universal-lighting/spyder-projector-headlights-264276.html They make both a chrome and black version. I want to see them for real first. I have a lot of time before I get to that stage of the resto.
