Tim, I cut the new outer wheel house lip off then left enough of the old on the car which allowed me to underlay the new outer wheelhouse to the existing then cleaned all the remaining wheelhouse down to bare metal and spot welded everything together including of course the outer wheelhouse...

Has anyone changed out the OEM rag joint and replaced it with regular steering knuckle ? I'm looking at doing this but the upper rag seems to be attached to the steering intermediate shaft, How would I remove upper rag so I could install the steering knuckle? and is this a bad idea. thanks...

the shaft from my manual gear box was a 3/4 round spline the new borgeson shaft is a 17mm dd so that's the need for the lower rag change, the pitman arm is wrong also but those are easy to get.

You would think, I messed up thinking I could get the gear box and find the rag joint somewhere else. The rag is offered from CJ pony parts but is not available at this time. I guess ill be playing the waiting game.

Looking for a 2 grove crank pulley I'm converting over to p\s so I need the pulley to drive the p\s pump...

Thanks for the input but I need the half rag to fit a borgeson p/s gear box its a conversion from manual to power steering and my stock lower rag joint will not fit the borgeson shaft. I need that 17mm DD lower rag. Like I said its been hard to get one because of borgeson can't give me a ship...

Would anyone out there have a 17 mm dd half rag joint, Borgeson makes them but are in the process of moving and no eta on shipping. I'm ready to drop my motor back in soon and would like to get this P/S conversion done ASAP.

Thanks for the input, looks like I'm going to the Borgeson conversion gear box 407.00 from CJ pony Parts......the hard part was getting a 1/2 17 mm dd rag joint. Borgeson is changing locations and they wont be available until march/april. so I found a full rag 17mm dd 3/4 rag from summit I'll...

I'm back to square one..... autozone can't get a p/s gear box, so back to the search for a box.... looks like I might be buying a borgerson unit 450.00 plus that's about all that is available. no core charge hassle tho....I guess I wont get off as cheap as I though it could be done for.
