won't start, no power at all (battery is good)

Thanks. If I'd a bad neutral safety switch the headlights, accessories etc. would still work right?

won't start, no power at all (battery is good)

Yes it's on the battery side and the wire is going toward the headlights. Should I open the harness to see what's going on with it. Just search for burning or splices? ***Update*** The fusible link is looking good. Not burned or spliced. I forgot something that I don't know if wort to mention...

won't start, no power at all (battery is good)

Yesterday morning I took the car for a ride. It fired up without any issues. When I went home I turned it off but had to use my other parking lot so after a min. I wanted to start he car and nothing. No click from the solenoid, no headlights. We were unable to jump start the car. I checked the...

    Cowl

Yes my daily driver, fortunately no rust other than the cowl. Everything else is pretty solid. I calculated with replacing the whole cowl when I'm ready for the paint and body work financially. My case is a little bit difficult because I don't have another car so have to plan everything way...

    Cowl

Thanks, I'll check the edge if the windshield. I just did the weatherstripping not so long ago. Also took apart the drip rail. I also put silicone around the drip rail where it meets the body just to seal everything temporary. As far as I see the edge if the windshield where's a gap between the...

    Cowl

I made pics what I did before. Like I said I don't care about how it looks like because the car will be stripped for the bodywork. I just want to keep the floor pan in good shape to avoid any additional work. The first is the sealed cowl and the second is the pass. side fender where I smeared a...

    Cowl

I don't think that the heater core. It only leaks when it's raining but the water definitely coming from the cowl (through the bottom of the heater box what is already rusted out). Under the windshield is fine. I checked the repair guides on the form but unfortunately I'm not that skilled...

    Cowl

Like many others I also have a rusted cowl with passenger side leak. I'm not really concerned about it because I'm going to paint the car in the near future and will also do all the bodywork I have to. I'm just looking for a temporary solution until I'm ready to bring my car to the bodyshop.  I...

    Ignition relay wiring

Thank you all, it turned out a pretty easy thing to do. Now it starts and runs perfect.

I have a Blaster II with 0.7o resistance.

    Ignition relay wiring

Solid 12V. And if I'll do your method connecting the purple to the solenoid instead of the ignition what's on the coil + now I have to do something with that ignition wire. This is the MSD relay manual: https://documents.holley.com/frm33565_ready_to_run_add.pdf I just chose the Pertronix relay...

    Ignition relay wiring

I forgot something. If I do how you hooked it up and connect the purple to the solenoid instead to the ignition, should I leave the ignition wire (what I supposed to hook to the purple originally) on the + side of the coil?

    Ignition relay wiring

Yes factory tach so it's likely won't work. I'm running MSD ready to run dist. and want to hook it up to the Pertronix relay.

    Ignition relay wiring

Got it, and it will probably work with the ready to run distributor too without the MSD ignition box.

    Ignition relay wiring

So just hook the Pertronix purple wire to the terminal "I". And what about the diode? The manual says "The isolation diode prevents current from the regulator flowing back to the ignition power relay when the key is turned of" The MSD relay for the same purpose not mentions any diode.

    Ignition relay wiring

I already checked but the black should be a wire for the wiper motor. Probably the previous owner made some modifications and installed that wire. It also has a Duraspark ignition box with a regular distributor what I eliminated when I installed the ready to run dist.

    Ignition relay wiring

Hey, I'm about to bypass the resistor wire for the electronic distributor. I bought a Pertronix power relay kit and I'm trying the follow the instructions (https://static.speedwaymotors.com/pdf/4472001.pdf) but when I'm about to wire the isolation diode It says to split the wire from the...

    MSD Pro Billet Dist 8350

Would 10" too small for the 351? Site site says at least 12/13 for good airflow. Or what size of spacer would be recommended to have a 14"?
