A nice set of vintage racing seats would be nice. Seats can cost the same as some of the covering kits. Unless your car is concourse correct a nice restomod is the right way to handle a driver.

I have tried my hand at gold leafing and I suspect it might just do the trick but you are going to have to clear over it and that might be equally fun if you don't want to paint the whole center console.

You could also just get a good performance 2 barrel and save some time. Holley 500 cfm may be the ticket.
