Awhile back I was able to get my car featured in an indendent movie. Unfortunately the director and producer/writer of the film had a falling out so I don't believe anything will come of it now....BUT if you click on the link below, and forward to 4minutes, 8 seconds in, you'll see the trailer with my car :D (and I'm the one driving during the ariel chase scenes hehe)

Pretty cool, the only thing is that I would be worried about the car getting damaged. Too bad the movie project didn't work out.

That's cool, bummer about the movie.

Done some film stuff with bikes and also a national information DVD. Movie people are a bit weird, big statement from me a well know weirdo.

My Mustang made it into a movie...just barely! In a terrible, mid-80's teen-age exploitatation flick called "The Legend of Billie Jean", my car makes an aapearance in traffic, stopped at an intersection while the star vehicle ( a ratty old blue Ford station wagon) does its drive-by.

The film was made in Corpus Christi, and used as much local "flavor" as they could. My girlfriend at the time was also in the movie. She actually had a pretty substantial part for being a local "walk on" as one of 12 "Billie Jean girls", but that entire subplot was excised from the final cut, and her part was reduced to a single shot of her.

I had another car in the film also, a '72 442 convertible in a "Texas Star" gas station parking lot.

Being around the making of the film was exciting for me, but the finished product was excrutiatingly bad.

Oh well...

The car was definitely a star. They used it well in the video and the cinematography was nice. I like it. What does happen if they break your car when using it for a movie? Do you get a rental fee for them using the car?

I used to have my cars listed on a site that would shop your car around for 'work" in the area for film, TV and ad work.

You list exactly what you will allow and NOT allow them to do with it, and the payments are priced accordingly. The production's insurabnce will cover any unforseen damage.

I got a few calls over the years, one for a parking lot shot in an "Auto Zone" commercial and one for a "Taco Bell" commercial. I got paid $850 for the Auto Zone (1 day) spot, and $2200 for the "Taco Bell" spot. Funny thing: The Taco Bell spot never aired as far as I know.

I had a friend who had an all-original '69 Vette and he leased it to the production of "Apollo 13". They did some pretty extensive body damage to the car with the camera rigs mounted to it, but they paid him well for the damage. Even so he was heartbroken...it will never be original again.

I tok my cars off the list after that.

I don't get it? It was only a Vette, not like it was a Mustang they damaged nowwww that would have been bad.

Mustang is a great car. It's not the only car.

anyway, the the OP, thats a really cool trailer, and it looks like the car would've been a main character. It looks really good on film.
