    ’71 Mach 1 Resto Project

Thank you! What a long strange trip it's been, haha. This was my first Ford full resto, and it was a learning experience, I built a lot of cars back in my teens and twenties, usually engine swap on one, paint job on another, sometimes both mechanical and body on one the same car. I never...

Sorry to hear of your loss, Steve.

    Tail light cleaning/restoration

I used Meguair's 205 ultra finish polish and detail brushes to work it and microfiber towel where I could and did it by hand. I wasn't confident at first because they looked pretty bad and the back up lenses were quite yellowed. I started with removing the lenses from the housings and cleaned...

Hi There! New to the group with my 1973 Mach 1

One piece of advise that I would offer as far as color. I have restored and helped many friends restore a lot of cars over the years. For my own cars, if I choose to do a color change, I always stick with factory option colors. It has been my experience that Ford, or any manufacturer, did a lot...

Hi There! New to the group with my 1973 Mach 1

Welcome from Chicago! Looks like a great condition car and it is awesome that it was your grandfather's and you are going to get it back on the road. I especially love the fact that you plan to use your grandfather's body tools and the knowledge he taught you to fix up his car. I am sure your...

Thicker is usually better when it comes to suspension parts.

    71 f100 4wd build

Sorry that was the first thing I thought of. How about QA1 or Ride-Tech? I know Qa1 makes 2WD suspension kits not sure about 4WD. They shouldn't be that difficult to fabricate as long as your welds are nice and hot so you get good penetration and they are strong. If you fabricated your own, you...

    71 f100 4wd build

Are there any F100 forums that might have some leads for you? I have looked at fordtrucks.com (doing research for possible future project, haha) they have a 67-72 bump-side section.

    Hi , New member

Welcome from Chicago! This is a great place to get answers on all things 71-73 Mustang. I don't have any T/A knowledge personally, but I've seen posts from other members that are doing that, so those folks should be able to help you out. Good luck!

This put a big smile on my face

That's awesome! It does make me feel good also when someone, especially someone younger, appreciates the car and the condition of it. 😁

    The Mach-A-Reina build thread

Good luck with your build I look forward to following the thread. Have fun and enjoy the process, after all it's the journey not the destination., haha. Love the name, doing the Mach-a-Reina! BTW, that is the best color combination and I am not biased at all, well maybe I am a little biased, LOL.

Sold Black deluxe door panels no longer needed thanks

I noticed that too, it looks like maybe someone installed them and then removed then and placed them in the box, or maybe they were take offs when they installed the Mustang market panels?

Sold Black deluxe door panels no longer needed thanks

I just now PM'd EstateNancy that, because they just set up their profile on 10/17 and replied to my post on the 24th, it does have some red flags that it could be a scam. I am not trying to offend anyone, and I do need some door trim panels, and it might be legit. Their pics look legit and that...

    Just a PSA

That makes me sure that I want to have my factory bumper straightened and re-chromed instead of buying a re-pop.
