Thank you Hemi, I'll pass that on to my friend.

    Factory Tach and Pertronix II.

From what I remember, the PII can run on reduced voltage, but 12V is recommended. A relay could be used to supply the 12V, but I'm not sure if this would work with the factory tach, which is the question.

    New Carburetor Installation/Hookup

Your fuel line is in backwards...... unless you plan on running the line all the way to the back over a hot engine. It is tight in there to get a solid line to the carb. Here's a pic of what I did to solve that on my car. NOTE: if you use rubber lines, use Injector grade (ethanol resistant) and...

    Factory Tach and Pertronix II.

Thank you Don, I'll pass that on to my friend. I knew in the back of my mind that there was a way to use a PII with the factory tach.

    Looking for 351 Cooling Improvements.

On my 71 351C 4V I use a 190 degree t stat with correct style "hat". I also installed a 3 core rad several years prior. The upgrade I did was to install a Hayden 2710 fan clutch and a Derale 17118 fan. What is VERY important is the depth the fan is into the shroud. Mine is set with about 1"...

    Factory Tach and Pertronix II.

I know this has been talked about a million times and there is so much under "search" to go through. I am sure someone posted on how to get a Pertronix II to work with a factory tach. There is an adaptor used on MSD distributors, but is there another way to get it to work. I have it in mind that...

Mustang and Mustangs at CK Municipal Airport, Ontario, Canada.

There was an interesting event yesterday at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport. It was "Mustang and Mustangs" day. This was a fund raiser for a local charity. The organizers thought there might be 100 Mustangs show up, but nearly double that attended. All were photographed on entry with a real...

New 71 fastback owner adding PS and AC

I did the PS swap many years ago on my 71 Mach 1. I was fortunate to have a friend that had a good, correct, Saginaw 800 PS box and pump....... until it wasn't and I had to learn how to rebuild them. The problem is and as mentioned, pulleys. You need the crank pulley and water pump pulley. Again...

Need to replace front and rear springs

I'm no expert on this subject, I just reflected on my own experience with an open dif. I can say though, now I have better traction through both wheels, I've not experienced the problem again. As for springs, new Eaton leaf springs can't hurt especially if yours are the originals. I chose the...

    Headlight conversion

Let me take a look for the part number I bought. They are confusing for sure. Here is a copy of my PFD, also in one of the links posted. The bulbs I used (if still available) are the X1 type. They need to be high/low. Mine are 6000K and 24000 lumens (need to do an update on PDF!!). Bright but...

    Headlight conversion

See my posts. I'm very happy with the Sealight bulbs. There are many types listed but pay attention to the size of the base and the H4 fitting (which ought to be the same but may not be) Warning! Do NOT get ones that are too bright. May be good for you, but not other drivers and may be illegal...
