    351C where to start?

Your manifold is a "spread bore", secondaries larger than the primaries. Without an adaptor, a standard bore carb will not fit and seal. My advice would be ask before buying. Oops, my bad, I did say I didn't read it all. You are installing a Edlebrock manifold. ..

    351C where to start?

From my own personal experience and unless Pertronix have totally redesigned the PIII for Ford application, I would send it back and buy the PII with matching coil. A few years ago now, my motor was rebuilt and the builder installed a PIII, probably because he had it on the shelf. It was nothing...

    351C where to start?

I didn't read all your post (yet), but the first thing I noticed was that the intake manifold is wrong for a 71...... unless someone put an aluminum Boss 351 intake on it!! You may have a 72 motor which would be a Q code. You need to check the block and date numbers located above the starter as...

New member; Just purchased 71 Mach 1

Hello and welcome from SW Ontario Canada. That's a nice looking stang you found at a very reasonable price. I too have a 71 I purchased in LA back in 2008, but mine was a Plain Jane with very few options. Many upgrades since though, but still pretty much stock. I see yours has ram air and looks...

    351c earlies cast date.

I don't know for sure, just a guess, but A through G could have been early development (prototype) blocks. J is the earliest I've seen too. Some other members will have far more knowledge on this.

    351c earlies cast date.

Correct, H = Aug so that block was cast on Aug 19 1969. The papers I have show D0AE-A, C,E,G,J,L all with two rear drain holes ( see pic of a J block I had) All these were designated as 1970 blocks, but cast earlier. Those same casting designations also show up for 1971, with the exception of J...

Parts Wanted Center gauge pod harness

You can see the pod in the pics above, reply to BigRedMach1. The part number is the same. I really don't know if the gauges work as I've never tested them. They came with the center stack, which was all I was needing for my new gauge install. They look to be in excellent condition though. The...

This put a big smile on my face

Last night at our last local A&W cruise-in on a beautiful but cool evening, I had two young lads, who were looking with interest at the cars, come and ask me if they could sit in my car. They thought it was the best one there and wanted to know more about it. The lads were probably around 11-12...

    73 in Kentucky

Is it just my imagination, but it seems there are way more 73's out there than 71-72's. Maybe we should do a poll on this........... in another thread.

Accidentally cut the metal fuel line

Cut the grommet. Or, it may be sliced anyway, can't remember, but I did brake lines way before I did the fuel line. NPD sell them and probably many other places.
