To add to confusion, on the 1973_full.pdf,  page 12 electrical diagram, I follow the 302 wire through the ambient temp switch and then the 302 iis not shown.  I thought maybe an error in the diagram.

When I try to buy parts for my 5.0 M6007XE3 crate motor, what year motor would it be?  Looking into buying a new DUI distributor from Summit, but they want to know what year the motor is.

I don't think I have ever seen a 71 wiring diagram with electrical devices for EGR.  On the 72 diagram I see solenoids, but no swtches except for the ambient temp switch.  Anybody have a 71 diagram that shows any EGR electrical stuff?

That black with blue tracer wire plugs into the underdash courtesy light.  If you don't have the courtesy light, the plug should have the same power as dome light.  There is another plug on the right side too.

Unplugged wire from solenoid I terminal.  Today I get 12.6 volts to ground on coil wire not connected to coil with key in run position.  Battery voltage is 13.2 volts.

I do have a tach and it does work.  The resistor wire is supposed to be 1.3 to 1.4 ohms so I figured the additional ohms are from the tach resistance.  Trying real hard to not open the dash again to check the wire separately.  Has anybody got access to a tach to measure the resistance?
