Have you looked into putting spacers between seat and rails? Rail would sit on top of the spacers and then bolt through rail and spacers.

Took rear seat out to see why bottom cushion is wrinkled. Turns out improvised pending.

$17 is too steep. It will not pull more then $8k. I payed $17k for a rusy free 73 with all original interior in good condition and original 351c, C6, 9" drivetrain last summer. Almost pulled a trigger on good condition all original 73 H code mach 1, manual for $20.

That type of modification is fully acceptable especially on a coupe which is not rare.
