A good read on motor oil

If Lucas extends oil life, why would you change oil once a year instead of every other year? I will treat my car to Cerma treatment like I do with my others.

A good read on motor oil

Very much so agree with your last paragraph (and yes, he is talking himself up) - it is combination of all additives and moli blends that defind oil performance. QS 5w30 does have higher then normal zinc, 900 and good amount of fosforus 740 while performs significantly better in ware...

A good read on motor oil

I have not seen any bashing in this writing, only a clear stance on the fact that unless someone has a scientific data to prove that Zinc improves ware protection, they have no room to refute his testing or argue otherwise. As well as the fact that oil companies are uauly have false...

A good read on motor oil

I have tested engine oil multiple times after 6k mi change intervals (black stone labs) from by twin turbo 3.5L ford explorer which I run hard (has ECU tune and sees redline almost daily). Saw much better ware results with QS vs Mobile 1 - just like his research shows. I am not saying 5w30 QS...

A good read on motor oil

Usually, higher zink oils offer the least amount of ware protection. Most of the time adding zink only will promote more ware. Zink additional/high zink is advertising filmic by junk oil companies. Diesel oils offer very modes protection compared to automotive oil as it is designed for low...

    Tubing to the Rear Shoks?

Thank you all for reply. Previous owner did replace the whole buttom of the car and welded in reinforcement after torque boxes, but I doubt he reinforced shock mounts prior to throwing in all new suspension. Posibly will look at GR2. Atleast I think its home brew reinforcement...

    Tubing to the Rear Shoks?

I have interesting tuning connected to both of my rear shocks, on convertible. Any idea why would this be there and its function? Rear shock - white with bunch of overspray.

What did you do to your car today?

Finished 1st wheel (finally had time today to get to it). Learned a bit what works and what does not, the rest should go much faster. Any type of steel wool - does not work, just adds more work. Was getting a bit dark outside, still has blue protective tape over the black stripe. Will throw 225...
