Where are all these cars coming from all of a sudden?

Of the two I checkout this year, both were being sold by the previous owners children. Maybe more available due to us getting past too old? Just a thought.

A/C Vacuum Mode Selector Switch AC Air Conditioning

Yea, working on that unit is much easier if 1) you are very thin and flexible or 2) remove the passenger seat. I’m a #2 guy.

Need help with charging A/C system

I don’t know who you’re taking your car to, but I would go to a place that has a good track record on AC repair. There is a place in Birmingham Alabama called. Southern Armature Works that has a good rep on Yelp. You might give them a call and see what they say...

A/C Vacuum Mode Selector Switch AC Air Conditioning

See if these diagrams help: You’re gonna need them to trace each line to see if you have vacuum at the individuals vacuum motors. Check that the motors hold vacuum and they are getting vacuum when signaled. You can find this stuff in your Ford Service Manual, If you don’t have one and are...

Connection nut for air conditioning hose missing. Forgot to order the nut?

I think this pic from the Ford Service Manual illustrates the missing part between those two connections: I could be wrong.

    Back up lights!!!

Yea, those backup cameras work by detecting voltage going to the backup light and that tells the camera to illuminate the screen. At least that’s how my works.

    Gas smell

If you’re not using something similar to the stock vent hose to charcoal canister approach, the tank is going to vent through the cap into the closed garage space. If you are venting it in the traditional way, some part of the system is failing. But, as I remember in days of old, even working...

    Here is my 72 Grande 351c 2v

Which of the sanding drums did you use to strip the paint? I bought the same unit to do the same, but haven’t yet started. I have all three drums.

Sand blasting, it’s a blast, blast, gas

That is the ambient sensor for the emission system.

Can this distributor be identified and does it have any value?

Looks like a totally stock 351C distributor, lots on EBay for sale.

Need help with charging A/C system

It’s not needed to function. I suspect it was installed to prevent damage during shipping. Edit: protection while in the box.

Need help with charging A/C system

I think if it was me, I would find an ASE Certified mechanic who specialize in AC systems. I’m sure you’ll get lots of ideas here, but without the correct tools/instruments, you’ll not be able to act on them. Just my 2 cents

IDK, when I removed my seats from my 73, there was definitely pressure sensors built into the seat bottom. I thought that was the seat belt warning system, but I’ve been wrong before, but only once. 😁
