    Leaking carb float

    Same thing happened to my Holley.  After about three years use the engine began to flood. The float had a hole in it and filled with gas.  I have one of those C/H nitrophyl floats Holley #116-3 if anyone wants it. mike

    There is a naked eye comet visible just before dawn in the NE sky just below Capella. At least here in California.  Saw it this morning, great through simple binoculars. mike

    Manifold port question

    Mine goes to a temp sensor and then to my distributor. I understand this was used to increase the RPM if the engine was running hot at idle.  Normal idle would be ~750. This would increase the idle to 1200 after running the car then going to rest, stop light. mike

    How bouncy is your front end?

    You push up and down on my fender and the car barely moves. Put my weight on it and maybe moves 1/2 inch. The car does have the comp suspension package if that matters. If I drive over a pencil I can feel it. mike

    Welcome from northern California. I got a high torque starter from Summit. Would go through at least one starter per year. Your standard starter could not handle the compression of my Cleveland. mike

    oil pressure gauge

    The stock electric gauge on my 351C-4V always runs 90% of scale and will sometimes drop to 80% but never lower. I use 10W/30 Valvoline VR-1 racing oil with a K&N filter. The type of oil and filter being used could affect oil pressure readings. mike
