    The turn down exhaust tips were likely a carry over from the Boss 302. I might be the only one that likes the "all business" look of the straight rear valence and dual exhaust with turn downs. :)

    Using a vacuum hose as dummy coil wire and a removable post battery switch will usually slow the wannabe thief down.

    I fabricated a bracket and fished it thru the cross member. Not easy to do, but very strong and close to OEM.

    Those look like the same clutch parts that I have. I also have the RAM aftermarket flywheel and an aluminum bellhousing from a 1972 Mustang with a 302 and 3 speed toploader. I had no interference with the aluminum bellhousing, which is the same one used on the Boss 302. Not sure about...

    If I remember correctly, the speedo driven gears are different for the automatic vs manual transmission you might want to check on this as well.

    I agree 100%. I did the stock "Z" bar manual conversion with my "H" code 351c. Petal effort with the 11" Centerforce I clutch is actually less than the hydraulic clutch in my 2013 Mustang 3.7 L v6 six speed

    Horsepower is king for the 1/4 mile. Torque is what moves the car on the street. For a street cruiser, IMHO, I think it makes sense to match maximum torque RPMs to your street driving. For example if you normally shift at 3500 RPM that should be the target peak torque RPMs for the motor.

    Keep in mind that dual exhaust was standard only on 4 barrel Mustangs which came with staggered shocks. As such, most pre bent tailpipes will need minor tweaking to clear non staggered shocks and stock rear sway bars.

    I also have the wide ratio 3 speed top loader with a 3.25 rear. It is excellent for a street cruiser with a “H” code 351c. It is very strong in 1st and 3rd gear.

    Interesting to note the 69-70 Boss 302 Chassis Modification Manual also recommended stitch welding or brazing and reinforcement in the shock tower area.
