Thanks for the explanation of what "slop grey" is. Also, thanks for the pics of the 12slot wheels. In my mind argent was darker, but now looking at other pics It is much lighter than I thought. I will see if I can get something mixed up to closely match.

Hi, the car is left hand drive. So all standard factory wiring.

Update.. I completed some more testing and can confirm that the emergency brake wire does not have power to it and is not connected to ground. So it cant have been causing the short... The short has gone away now so the only thing I can think if is a wire in the main loom was touching and rubbed...

Per above testing the brake fail light.. When the ignition is turned to start, the light should come on. then go out. Assuming the light comes on, this shows that the wiring to the switch on the brake distribution block is working. There are 2 wires that go to the switch on the brake...
