Holley 4160 secondary fuel bowl leak question

Hi everyone, The "plug" on the secondary fuel bowl of my Holley 4160 is leaking. This is not a component of rebuild kits Quick internet search seems to say JB Weld will seal it. Or buy a replacement fuel bowl? Anyone ever deal with this issue? Any thoughts/advice? Thanks

Did I Ruin My Ram Air Hood Springs?

No I didn't try Rich's (rackerm) idea. I really don't want to pull the hinges off the car. Still trying to decide next step. As 1973-Mach 1 stated above, he lubed up his hinges and his springs hold up his hood. The hinges have been on the car since May 2109 and I've always had a problem opening...

Did I Ruin My Ram Air Hood Springs?

Well.. Sprayed every hinge point with a quick shot of brake cleaner...which sucks as it eats the paint off of all my fresh parts as I try to control the spray. Then I used dish soap (WD-40/grease cutter) and hot water and washed all the hinge points. No luck. I open the hood and it will close...

Did I Ruin My Ram Air Hood Springs?

Thanks Guys. I'll clean out the WD-40 and see if adding resistance helps. ...and I did see You*ube video of grabbing the spring with an old seat belt end and pulling. Like the pants belt mentioned. Seemed easy.

Did I Ruin My Ram Air Hood Springs?

Hope this doesn't sound to stupid... While restoring the hood hinges on my Mach, I used a Harbor Freight winch with a wireless remote control to pull the spring off the hinge for sand blasting purposes. A few times during the process the winch didn't stop when I wanted it to and I know I pulled...

1972 AC car blower motor replacement

My heater blower motor is really noisy.  I suppose I need to replace it. The car had water inside for years from a leaky cowl, moist environment.  Affected the motor? When I restored the interior and rebuilt all the plenum boxes I probably just hit the squirrel fan with 12V and said, yup, it...

Fuel gauge reads low on highway

Guys, I'm a little embarrassed. I just took the car on another drive and the problem is at ALL speeds.  Even around town. I've only had the car on the road for a couple weeks and I was wrong. It does seem though to go lower the faster I go still, weird. In my 5 year resto of the car I did...

Fuel gauge reads low on highway

It happens at steady speed.  I only went down the freeway about 3 miles.  It read low the whole time. I just finished a complete restoration of the car so I know every inch of the wiring.  The gauge reads fine around town. Was hoping that this was an issue that someone else has had.  All of my...

Fuel gauge reads low on highway

I've never seen this with my other Mustangs... 72 Mach with Sports Interior.  All of the gauges work perfectly except... Fuel gauge reads 3/4 full.  First time on highway with the car today.  At 55 fuel gauge drops to 1/2 full.  65 mph, 1/4 full. By the time I was up to 70 mph, the gauge read...

Used Magnum 500 wheels off 72 Mach

Anybody got any thoughts on whether I should hold onto my old used Magnum 500's that came on my car from the factory? I recently installed Legendary wheels and don't need the old Magnum's anymore. They take up a lot of space to store.  They seem to be only worth about $50 bucks apiece on...

    Magnum 500 wheels--looking for recommendations

Ya, perfect timing! Yes, got the 03 lug nut kit.  Legendarys own website is a bit confusing, stating that their 02 kit is for alloy wheels. The Summit site said that the 03 lug nut kit was correct for the LW50 wheel, so I went with the 03 kit. Thanks for confirming. Ya typo on the 16" tire. I...

72 Mach before and after photos

Thanks guys, it has been a labor of love for sure. I really felt this car deserved better than to have had to sit outside and slowly die. Hard to believe it'll be 50 in a few years!  I stumbled upon this website when I first started the project and was amazed at the dedication of this group...
