How much does Mach 1 paint job cost?

I have spent the last 4 years going through a 72 Mach 1 I "accidentally" bought on Ebay. It was a rusted cowl car. But it's loaded with options.  So... Now the interior, engine compartment, trunk and suspension are done. I know it's out of correct resto order, but I didn't know where this...

KYB Gas Adjust vs. KYB GR-2/Excel

Thanks guys, but it's my 67 that has the full Global West treatment. That car is stiff and tight.  Handles great with the Falken Azenis RT615K's and Billstein shocks. The car has power nothing... These are for my 72 Mach which I want to be a more comfortable ride. Power steering, brakes...

KYB Gas Adjust vs. KYB GR-2/Excel

Thank you both much for the comments. I kinda wanted to keep this as my comfy stang.  That helps. My 67 with a 472, full Global West suspension with 750 lb. front coils, power nothing... Ya, thanks...

KYB Gas Adjust vs. KYB GR-2/Excel

Does anyone have first hand experience with the KYB Gas Adjust shock? Their GR-2/Excel shock is advertised as upgrade over stock yet not as harsh/stiff as their Gas Adjust shock. I'm about to order all new front suspension components from Rock Auto.  The KYB's have a $100.00 rebate promotion...

    Squeaky Leaf Springs/rear suspension

The car is going to get new shocks. The rubbers are in place between the leafs. I can do new bushings and shackles, but I'm really just wondering who is the main squeaker? I'm really just wondering if all the new rubber parts will cure the squeakiness or if I'll put it all back together and...

    Squeaky Leaf Springs/rear suspension

Time to do the suspension on my 72 Mach 1.  It has been a project of mine for 4 years now. The car had sat outside for 10 years before I got it. The rear suspension squeaks really bad. When I listen under the car while someone is pushing up and down on the rear, it is hard to tell exactly...

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

Now I'm really confused... I went to my local Napa Auto Supply 3 months ago trying to purchase the #LS 6488.  They told me it was no longer a valid number in their system and was unavailable. I just Googled it and it came right up on Napa online.  The Napa website does not tell you what part...

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

I should have looked up the wattages before my last post. Here's what I found. In an 1157 the two filaments are 8.26 watts and 26.88 watts. In a 94, the filament is 13.312 watts. The lesser element in an 1157 won't be bright enough, and the 26 watt filament will be way to bright and make too...

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

I do not have an original #94 bulb in hand but I can see from the pictures posted earlier in this thread  that the two guidance pins on the base of the bulb are both down low and directly across from each other.  On an 1157, they are offset.  One down low, one up higher. The original #94 bulb...

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

Sorry, getting back to this a little late.  Was out of town. So I bought the Dorman sockets, but they are made for an 1157 bulb which has offset side pins. The correct original bulb for Sportslamps was a UL94 which has side pins that are not offset sitting low on the bulb base. Whats the...

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

Thanks.  I remember looking into this a year ago and I was under the impression that there was no "pig repair socket" available. I bought the Dorman ones off Amazon. Hopefully they do the job.

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

OOps, sorry my bad. It is a two contact socket and bulb.  I had in my mind that there are only two conductors on the wiring harness, which is correct. Thanks for the info, MUCH Appreciated!

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

Midlife, So it looks like that socket uses bulbs with two contacts on the bottom, like an 1156 or 1157. The original socket was a single contact and used a bulb with one contact on its base correct? Am I reading this situation correctly?

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

I should have searched this first on the site before posting, sorry for that. A lot of info to digest quickly. Is the Mac's (ford truck tail light) socket , part #48-45082-1 the way to go?

    Sport Lamp Bulb Socket

The Sports Lamp bulb sockets on my car came to me not intact from the previous owner.  One original plastic one is in pieces.  The other had a metal socket spliced on.  See picture.  This socket won't work with the correct bulb because it is a two contact socket, and I don't know how to get...

Metal pieces welded to trunk floor

Ok, makes sense. Apparently they are related to impact reinforcement behind the bumper. Maybe they got lazy on the assembly line and quit welding them to the bumper brackets. Thanks guys

Metal pieces welded to trunk floor

Now that I've finished the interior and under the hood in my project 72 Mach, it's time to clean up the trunk. I've got a little rust to deal with and these two metal pieces welded to the trunk floor need to go. Anybody know what these two pieces are for/why Ford put them in? They are not...

Is my Condenser & Air Filter/dryer OK?, how to test?

I'm at the point in my project where I need to install the air condenser and air filter/dryer unit. I plan to get the air going at the end of the project, after the car is together again. Never had an early mustang with or have I worked on air conditioning. Been looking at stuff for sale on...

351C 2V California emissions with Ram Air

Well  what do you know.  Thanks guys! Hemikiller, Rackerm, David... T'd off the line to the underside of air cleaner! I had not found/seen the schematic Rackerm posted. Explains that it didn't have its own dedicated connection point. Much appreciated!
