    Deluxe Door Woodgrain Insert

Any advice on replacing the wood grain section? Has anyone had any experience with simply replacing the wood grain insert with contact paper? I don't think the contact paper I just bought off ebay would stay sticked. The old destroyed wood grain I peeled off my inserts had a thick clear top...

    Windshield Base Trim

Thanks for more great thoughts.  I appreciate them. I'm almost glad to hear that it is a known issue to others than myself.

    Windshield Base Trim

Thank you for the response...  It tells me what I was afraid of... My "new" base has been in a heated house for a week, weighted down by books in a straight position.. remove the books and...boing....back into a position that would never stay on the glass edge...a giant "U"

    Windshield Base Trim

Can someone tell me the correct way to install the Windshield Base Trim? The plastic channel on the lower edge of the front window. I bought a new one.  It came packaged from Daniel Carpenter, rolled into a circle in the opposite direction of the arc of of a windshield.  It sat in the bag for...

    Shift Selector indicator alignment issue

Thanks for the pictures.  It seems this is not unusual. I did replaced the bushings.  The shifter lever's spring loaded tab is in the correct positions on the notched metal piece. I guess I'll have to live with it.

    Shift Selector indicator alignment issue

Thanks for some thoughts.  Was waiting for someone to confirm my new bezel looks "normal" As I said in my orig post, yes, the indicator is off through all the gears. In one of the pics, you can see the transmission is in Park and the indicator is way above the P. The linkage is adjusted...

    Shift Selector indicator alignment issue

As I went to install my new shifter lever, pointer indicator, and all the pieces, including a brand new Repro bezel from NPD, I find the pointer doesn't line up at all with the PRND21. Not even close.  With each gear selection, the pointer is between the PRND21. I don't see any adjustment for...

HELP! Need shift indicator parts detail, shield filter, ect

Can someone PLEASE detail for me the pieces required to rebuild the shifter indicator on my 72 Mach? and how they fit together? Mine was in bad shape when I got it.  I didn't even realize there is a plastic indicator with a red line on it to indicate the gear choice.  So, using NPD part #'s...

How to Clean Up Folding Rear Seat Trim?

The pieces need to soak overnight.  The longer they soak, the cleaner they get.  The trim was in for 24 hours.  The hinge still had some rust  visible, so I steel wool everything, which really helps removes what the Evaporust has been eating on.  Then back in the solution another 24 hours. ...

How to Clean Up Folding Rear Seat Trim?

Thought I'd share what I came up with. It worked very well. I had amazing results using EVAPORUST earlier in my project.  So I used  a piece of 2" PVC to soak the pieces in...

How to Clean Up Folding Rear Seat Trim?

Any tricks anyone can share on how to best "restore"/"clean up" the nasty old trim around my folding rear seat? I believe it is actually not chrome but the Ford "bright finish" or something like that. Fine steel wool does pretty well.  Would be a lot do do by hand. Some type of wheel to buy...

FINISHED REAR INTERIOR PANELS AND SAIL panels

I told a fellow member I'd share my results of the MP products panel install. This was preceded by a few post of mine asking advice along the way from all the great members. I'm ok with what I ended up with, look at what I started with!   I'm anal and had them in and out of the car about 30...

    Refurbishing drip rail moldings

The flat pop rivet gun side goes on top toward body.  The knob created by the rivet goes under the weatherstrip.  They key is to use a punch and flatten the pip rivet.  Being aluminum, it flattens easily.  See pic

NEED ADVICE ON SAIL PANEL INSTALL

Hey Jeff, ya I'm good on the sail panel material at the top going under the rear window gasket.  Not visible in photo. That blue metal piece under the rear window has a slot on its lower edge.  The original fiberglass corner panel tucked up into this slot.  The black MP panel does not have...

NEED ADVICE ON SAIL PANEL INSTALL

Will do.  I'm already having issues though.  The panels in the rear don't have the extra material needed on top to tuck into the slot that's in the metal panel below the window. JB Weld and plastic fixed that. With the panel edge screwed in place along the trap door opening, the panel isn't...
