    Please help. Starter keeps running

Thanks Jason. It has a re-manufactured Motorcraft distributor with a pertronix ignitor.

    Please help. Starter keeps running

I thought so too, but put four in and they all did the same thing!

    Please help. Starter keeps running

Thanks JD and Tom. That was great advice! I think I have it fixed. It looks like the ignition switch was sticking. I pulled down the steering column and removed the switch, oiled it and the ignition cylinder with WD40 and worked them around, readjusted the switch, and the car cranks fine now but...

    Please help. Starter keeps running

Okay. I've read all the posts I can find about this issue and nothing I try works. I've got a 72 Mustang with a 351C. This is a car someone else restored so I'm not sure what all was done to it. The car would start fine but the starter would stay engaged for a second after the ignition key was...

July 72 351C Plug wires - what are the correct type

I've been told the 72-73 Motorcraft repros from Marti will never be made again which really sucks. It's getting harder and harder to find parts. And shipping is through the roof. When I went to the Marti site to get a power steering belt, the shipping was more than the belt!

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

Hey Greg. So this car was actually on Ebay when it sold about a week ago. It was posted on BarnFinds where it was talked about. It sold for over $41,000 but I'm not surprised it was relisted. I'm sure the seller had some shill bidders throwing on some bids to drive the price up, but in the end...

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

Almost certainly the case. I'd say 99.999999%. If it has the partial VINs on the shock towers, they were welded in. I suppose the entire car could have been welded around the original shock towers, but I doubt it. The firewall is for an A/C car, so the front of the car is not original. The car...

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

Sold for $41,766.00. I'm speechless. Folks with the real deal should be ecstatic. Their cars should have just tripled in value. If the buyer, or any of the other 25 bidders visit this site, please chime in and let us know why you bid on the car. I'm not hating. Just curious.

Wow. Seems like $50K is a solid offer. It must have some nice options.

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

Good points Geoff. I hope the gentleman who bought Miss Donna won't mind me discussing what he gave for it, but I will say it was less than where this car has been bid up to. So I feel the same way as you regarding your friends situation. Miss Donna was a really, really nice car compared to this...

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

I felt the exact same way as you Rob when I saw the replies, and I think Pat (ib4stangs) is dead on in his assessment it is the seller under a different user name or a friend posting that stuff. I also agree with Pat that the high bidder has never heard of this site! Also, Tony, thanks for your...

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

NOPE. Been there, done that. Ebay's buyer protection is almost useless. It only pays out if you go to pick the car up and it is not there (which has happened to me) or if the seller becomes a dick and says he won't give you the car after you have already wired him the money (which has also...

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

All great points and you are correct on all three! I bet if you could see the firewall in the pictures you'd see it has the big hole for the A/C lines of an air car and it would be missing the two small holes for the heater hoses and the "pod" for the heater motor of a non air car. The seller...

    HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?!

All good points. The car was likely an F-code 302 car. Only 6 cylinders and 302 cars had 8 inch rear ends. It wasn't a 6 cylinder car because the two pilot holes in the top of the radiator support have not been drilled out (6 cylinder cars had a small plate screwed over the fan, whereas the...

Good eye Hemi! I missed the 8 inch rear end, but there it is.

Selling "Miss Donna" 8000 mile "barn-find" to fund my twenty other projects. Auction ends in three days.

So "Miss Donna" sold to a member here on our site and I got close to my asking price. The new owner and his wife came in from San Antonio and trailered the car home. They were wonderful people and it was a joy spending time with them and talking Mustangs. I made a few bucks for my labor and I'm...
