    Front end collision???

The green one looks like somebody was going for that Talladega Torino aero nose look.

    Don't think it's factory....

So I have a 2017 Taurus that has lighting under the dash. I guess for ambiance? You can change colors from blue to purple to ? I forget the others. Oh Boy!!! Evidently the previous owner of my Mach 1 was ahead of his time with this "option". Removing some old aftermarket gauges required...

    Bent cross member?

Yes the cross-member is sloped to clear the pan. It's where the transition from the front sump to the rear of the pan.

Headers are tight on drivers side

How long do you have to visit the "puzzle house" after you put them in or take them out? LOL

Headers are tight on drivers side

Well change in plan now that I got the oil pan cross-member circus finished. Hooker Headers went in and on pretty smooth. The one tube does come with in about 1/4" away from the top plate of the steering box. A couple of the pipes at the flanges are not box end wrench friendly. No more open...

    Bent cross member?

Well the power pack was a bust. It leaked like a sieve after sitting unused for 25+ years. Plus, the cross-member was twisted as well as bent. After trying initially to trim the cross-member to clearance the pan it was “no can do”. This car is for my own enjoyment not a restoration with...

Loud Violent Clunk When Shifting FMX Into Gear. Any Transmission Experts?

Sounds like you're searching for something you want it to be instead of what you don't want it to be. I fell into that line of thinking at times and it just dragged out the final fix. Yank the 3rd member and have it examined by a competent mechanic. You'll either find the problem or eliminate...

    Original carpet color I.D.

So if my car came with green seats, door panels, and such, it would have been some kind of green. Correct? I think the original dash pad was green as well but is under a black one.

    Original carpet color I.D.

Are there any ways to find out what the color carpet the my Mustang came with from the factory?

    351c q code rebuild

If you are going to need machine work done I, would have those folks consult you on the parts you need. A long in the tooth automotive machine shop will have the experience to recommend things to get as well as which to avoid. I've never been a big fan of kits. Much rather pick my own stuff...

    Bent cross member?

OK so computer savvy I'm not! LOL. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful suggestions. I just found out my mentor in all things relating to cars and race cars has a power pack he can lend me. (I'm already borrowing his trans-jack to hold the C6 while I trial fit the engine.) So after I post...

    Bent cross member?

It may have been pulled out of a ditch or the like. From what I've been able to gather from the car's history, it was wrecked at one time. Right side quarter, door and fender were replaced. The previous owner that I bought it from said he met the body man that repaired it for some other...

    Bent cross member?

Made an attempt to install (temporarily to check header fitment) the new engine in my '72 Mach1. The oil pan is a Milodon with a kicked out sump. According to Milodon it should clear the cross member under the engine in a stock chassis. But in this case it's a no-go. Back of pan needs about...

    Need some ideas

If you have any electronics like ignition modules on the car you have to disconnect them. At least the ground wire but I disconnect both. Disconnecting the battery won't protect them when welding. Sometimes welding can partially damage a module and cause the symptoms you have. If you still...
