    Cast Iron Head Repair?

It's absolutely possible to salvage the head. But you may want to compare the repair vs using a different head. Of course if it's one that's scarce you may just have to repair what you've got. The key thing is that the repair is performed by an experienced, competent shop. If the weldment...

Another poorly repaired nightmare of a Mustang

I believe he was saying it would take 30K to fix a car the customer paid 10K to buy. At least I hope the poor slob that owns the car didn't pay 30K. If they did they didn't get taken, they got raped!

    Rebuild Update

I actually should have had it done in 6 months or less. Too many other projects/distractions. As far as getting outside work done I always pay for quality of parts and machining. Which entitles you to expect quality work and to loudly complain if you don't ! Part of the time problem is so...

    Beware user Scanty12

Better to be a bit red faced then taken for a ride. You can't be too careful these days. Seems scammers and fraudsters are everywhere trying to get people separated from their $$.

Oil Trans fluid clean up on concrete garage floor

No, Brake Cleaner. Comes in spray cans at Auto Parts Houses, Amazon, Walmart etc. Personal preference is CRC brand but there are others that will work too.

    Console Top Lid question

The console lid in my car was evidently replaced with one that was brown. The paint was cracking and flaking, so I bought some vinyl paint and sprayed it black. I don't drive the car much at all but it's cracking and flaking as before. Can these be painted successfully or should I seek a real...

    Factory Installed Rear Speakers

So when I removed the aftermarket speakers installed by a previous owner I found what looks to be cut outs for speakers in the package tray support. Did Ford ever have rear speakers installed as an option?

    Door striker T-50 bolt question

Well egg on my face! Looks like my guess about the 70TP-2100-A being s T70 plus bit is incorrect. The bit that fits the striker on my heap is a T-45 Plus. Tried to Google the tool number to see what it actually is but no luck. Probably lost to the scrap heap of time.

    Door striker T-50 bolt question

I'm chiming in because I just recently learned something I was unaware of. In the instructions for installing an ATI Super Dampener on my 351C it cautioned to only use T-40 Plus bits when tightening counter sunk screws to attach the dampener to the hub. Using a regular T-40 will not fit...

    Front Seat Uncomfortable

First off I admit I have a rather bony Irish arse. No matter how much the rest of me added "padding" my arse refused to go along. That said my '72's drivers seat is quite like sitting on a board after a while when driving. Any thoughts, experiences or suggestions welcome.
