Power Steering Belt and Pulley Sizes

All, 9 months later and 4 weeks into a "Stay At Home" order, I cleaned the garage and there was the same car (73-351C-Non AC-4 Manual).....begging for attention as always. Getting back into my Power Steering issues again as now I have another extended 4 weeks at home.  I did get an Index...

    Choke Stove Gasket??

Need some helpful knowledge. Working on a 73 351C-4V. Was wondering if where the choke stove mounts to the intake if there should be a gasket to seal this? I have looked several places and can't seem to find the part. I have seen ones for other applications and I see that if you buy an...

    wtb this bracket wiring holders

These are on my 351C. Two on the left side holding the engine feed harness, but work well on the other side for vacuum lines also. Had the PNs written down at one time...trying to find them.

    Vacuum hose routing

I still would not take this as being 100% accurate or complete. Just more data to add to the mix. Some things still don't look quite right to me. The wire harness for the 351c-2V looks off, the air cleaners don't look right, the big knot of hoses at the rear of the 4V/MT, and probable more. Add...

    Vacuum hose routing

Went to the bookshelf several times this weekend. Swear I looked at the same stuff over and over. tried again and found this early this morning before going to work. Cannot verify the accuracy of what is shown here (Bad pictures of bad PDFs in a fairly good book), but it looks informative. Hope...

That is one heck of a lot "o" Data. Should keep me busy for some time to come. Great link if I can figure out all the online navigation. Thanks

    Vacuum hose routing

So looking at the 250 and 302 calibration schematics for 73 that I have access to, which is not many, there are similarities in those that specifically state with or without AC. Specifically 3-8C, 3-9, 3-11C, and 3-11E, in that the main difference appears to be that when showing with AC, a 3...

    Vacuum hose routing

What a great job of taking pictures as you go. David did a lot of work. Never fails though, the more pictures I see, the more I look, the more I want. Can never have too many. Got lost going through the thread and will now get back to focusing on the pics about the original question.....vacuum...

    Vacuum hose routing

Sounds like you are on your way. Agree about the air cleaner. Lines run from the flapper on the snorkel, through the bi-metal, and finish off at the tree in the rear. Manifold vac for the 3 port should connect to the intake manifold single port at the front? If your other source provides the...

    Vacuum hose routing

Sorry, but to add to the confusion, there is this that shows the use of all 4 ports on the firewall for the Auto Trans.

    Vacuum hose routing

Sounds like you have a very original car to start with. Always a good thing. Can only assume that if parts were there, they were there for a reason. I don't have a lot more to offer, but.... Went back to the beginning of this post and re-read that you have AC. Missed that originally. I never...

    Vacuum hose routing

Not saying for sure....but it might be just that simple, but a lot of what I think I know can quickly turn into what I thought I knew. Never can tell what a previous owner may have done. Carb changes, distributor changes, Etc. can easily change things. Lots of folks took the evil emission stuff...

    Vacuum hose routing

I stand corrected. Happens too often. The diagrams I have do name the 2 port unit as a Temp Control Vac Valve and not a PVS. You are also correct that with my having a Manual Transmission, I do not use/have either of the solenoid valves, but use the DVAC (#17 for 3-15A). A pic that may help...

    Vacuum hose routing

I have always been a bit confused over the combinations of harnesses and vacuum lines and parts. So not sure if any of this will help. I use config 3-15A as I have a 351c-4bbl-MT. Only got into the vacuum/emissions stuff because I wanted to know why I had leads on my feed harness that went to...

    Vacuum hose routing

RC92234, Looking at the pic of the valve cover you posted, looks like you may want to look at diagram 3-16A. Here is a link to a previous post that has some vac diagrams for 71-73. https://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-vacuum-hose-diagrams?pid=246021#pid246021 3-16A does not show using valve...

    Power Stering Hose Bracket

Crap, Crap, Crap....went to the bone yard and got one on Saturday morning off a Cougar. BUT still looking for a few other things..... Heater hose cradle for a 4300-D?? Electric choke for the same carb?? Attempting to replace the Holley carb put on by PO. Sure I might be missing throttle...

Heater Hoses to where? Does it Matter?

Yup. Nerve wracking to say the least. Pulled her out of the garage about a year ago. But now have mounted a 4300-d carb, which general knowledge is against, dropped fuel tank to flush in addition to the fuel lines. Etc., Etc,. Nervous.....but confident ::thumb::
