    Power Stering Hose Bracket

rio 1856, Thanks for the links. Wasn't exactly sure what I really was looking for. I don't have one to compare to, but, it goes on the back of the pump to index the PS pressure hose. Think it is one of the first 3 you sent a link for. They all look about the same. If a forum member is willing...

Heater Hoses to where? Does it Matter?

Excellent. Thanks for the direction. Looks like I can lay them out this weekend. Getting closer to start up.

    Power Stering Hose Bracket

So after owing her for almost 40 years, just realized I don't have the "Index Bracket" for the power steering pressure hose at the back of the pump. Anyone have one that they could part with??

Heater Hoses to where? Does it Matter?

Trying to get things put where they really belong. Working on a 73-351C-4V- Manual Trans. I plan on putting a 4300-D, against common wisdom, on top of the original spread bore intake. So when I go to run the heater hoses, one comes off the water pump, and one is in the block below the...

More mystery wires in engine bay by firewall

Went to the garage to take pictures of the brackets and clips on my valve covers, saw how bad my wiper motor looked and lost another day in the Garage. Anyway, here are some pics. I have two clips on the left for the harness and 2 on the right for vacuum hoses. Added some pic showing how I think...

Another idiot crashed doing a burn out after show

I can't speak about the crashes, but, I can comment on the lack of representation of our 71-73s. Sorry to hear that you were the only representation at the show you attended. Just today I went to a local show that was sponsored by the local Mustang Club. Being as I am working on getting my...

More mystery wires in engine bay by firewall

Been working on my engine feed harness also the last few days. Here is what I THINK I know. #4 I believe is all emissions related. Brown/Orange Hash may run into the passenger area and connect to a red emissions control. It looks like the connection shown in the upper left of this pic. Not sure...

Temperature Control Valve In Our Heater Hose?

So what I see down on the waterpump, between the heater hoses, is that where the 3 port PVS would be? I have a solid plug there.

Temperature Control Valve In Our Heater Hose?

So after screwing off all day at work thinking about this, here is what I believe should be the connections. By all means everyone should correct me if I have my head...you know where. Please keep in mind that hose sizes, lengths and routing is NOT the finished product.

Temperature Control Valve In Our Heater Hose?

Thanks Hemikiller for the part ID and location info. Was searching so much I was getting myself confused and distracted. Found a diagram for calibration 3-15A on this site which matches my engine tag, that showed the 2 port switch going to the EGR but not where it went. I do not have the 3 port...

Power Steering Belt and Pulley Sizes

That was what I was thinking. Just run with a belt that fits and slowly look for a correct set of pulleys and swap all at once. Good to know at lease the back side of the pump is correct and just missing a bracket??. Thinking I did the swap when 2 kids, 1 car, and 0 dollars equals quick fix...

    PS Pump priming

Working with an old Thompson pump. I took it off the Mach to do other things, but, it will not turn when on the bench. Do we think there may be an internal problem??

    PS Pump priming

So after the P/S pump has been drained, what is the best way to prime before starting the engine??

Temperature Control Valve In Our Heater Hose?

Has anybody seen this before? So old it looks correct but no markings on the part that is inline with the heater hose, but part is a Ford part as far as the "switch". The upper connection has an "E" on it so thinking EGR?"?. Looked at vac diagrams and it may be for the ERG on a 73? Thinking it...

Power Steering Belt and Pulley Sizes

So last Summer I woke up the  73 MachI that had been sleeping in the garage for the last 15 years. Did the usual fuel dump, fluid changes, general tuneup, rebuild of the leaky Holley square bore (a whole other story) and generally got things working for a short drive and then be able to start...

    Steel Tube for PCV

For some strange reason, I have decided to put the 4300D carb back on in place of the VERY leaky Holly I currently have. Was wondering if over all the years of folks replacing the stock carbs, if someone saved the steel PCVtube and/or the bracket? Mine was tossed out about 35 years ago. Have...
