Power to the clock, no power to the clocks lights

Thanks for the correct advice and suggestions. The culprit was the small fuse. Replaced it and I have lights to the clock now. Appreciate the help.

Thank you to all for you input and suggestions. I search for the back-up light switch on the driver side of the tranny and under the shifter bezel by the NSS, but found nothing. Any other suggestions?

Trying to chase down why I have power to the console clock on 1971 Mach 1, but no power to the accompanying two lights. Solutions? Thank you.

Where is the back up light switch for the 429 SCJ with C-6? Back of the motor or on the tranny?

    Return to Daily Driver

Thanks for posting. Stories of 1972 R Code 351 HO always catch my interest. I restored a 1972 R Code Mach 1 a few years ago in Grabber Blue. Drove it for a while before I delivered it to the buyer who asked me to find one for him. Fun to drive with the 4-speed.

Stem to Stern: New Exhaust System on the 1971 Mach 1, 429 SCJ

My exhaust system was the last step taken in my "every-nut-and-bolt" restoration, completed in 2019. But some design mistakes were made and I had to live with them for the last 2 years. So, I had the entire system replaced. I used Magna Flow mufflers, the factory-original tips, and added an...

Hey Matt: Thank you for your posts in reply to my carb question. They were helpful. You have pretty much settled the issue in my mind regarding the Holley 750.  It's what I needed to hear. Many thanks, Tim

Work done today on the 1971 Mach 1, J Code, 429 SCJ

Today was a good day to improve the performance of my 1971 Mach 1, 429 SCJ. I drive it almost daily here in west central Florida; so it needs regular care and maintenance.  Installed a new set of spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. Set the timing to 40 degrees. Adjusted the...

    Carb for 429 SCJ

When I put together my 1971 Mach 1, 429 SCJ, I used a Holley 750 CFM rather than the factory original Holley 780--could not find one.  Has anyone with a 429 SCJ had success (consistency, dependable, long-lasting) with any other carb, one equal to the Holley 780?  Thanks.
