Replaced my turn signal canceling cam and have extra piece

I replaced the turn signal canceling cam on my 1971 mustang. After I got everything re-wired and back in place, I noticed a small, thin metal bar about an inch long laying on my workbench. It's at the bottom of the picture and is circled in red. Can anyone tell me if this may be part of the...

Can coupe upholstery be used on a Convertible

This topic may have been covered before but I couldn't find it anywhere on the site. I am wondering if coupe upholstery be used on a convertible? I have read the front seats should be fine but what about the rear seat? Will coupe upholstery just look crappy in a convertible or can something be...

Where does this headlight trim ring mount???

Thanks Stanglover. I see now that this headlight pot metal trim ring screws into the front grill and the lower notch is also on the grill. I was thinking this trim rings attached to the headlight bucket assembly. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks Stanglover. So would the tab on the bottom mount onto the front plastic grill? Would the top screw attach the trim ring to the headlight housing? Thanks.

I searched the forum, the internet and my assembly manuals but could not find out where the pot metal headlight trim ring below mounts. It's probably called something else but not sure what that is. Can someone tell me where these rings would mount? They were in a box of parts when I got my...

Parts Wanted FOUND*** WTB: Headlight Assembly Brackets?

I need a set of brackets that attaches to the headlight assembly (see pic below circled in red) but I'm not sure what they're called. Mine were disassembled when I bought my Mustang and I can't find them. Looking for a straight, as rust free as possible set. Thanks.

    71Convert Restoration Project Progress

Console: After the dash work, I took on the console (see pics below). It wasn't in too bad of shape. No cracks or any broken off areas! I expected it to be pretty beat up. I took it all apart, cleaned it (dirt, wasp nests, dried muddy animal paw prints, etc.) painted the main parts with SEMS...

How Do You Remove the A/C Thermostat Control From Evaporator

Thanks Hemikiller. I finally pulled the wire probe out. It was a little crusty so I cleaned it up. I will test the wire probe as you suggested as long as I didn't strip off too much. Thanks again.

How Do You Remove the A/C Thermostat Control From Evaporator

Can you tell me how I can remove the A/C thermostat control wire probe that is inserted into the A/C evaporator core? I tried pulling it out by hand but it didn't budge so I let it be until I asked you guys. Is there a trick to removing the probe after it's been inside the evaporator after 52...

What connects the A/C floor vent to fan box

I am restoring my A/C heater system in my 1971 convertible and I'm not sure what attaches the bracket on the floor vent to the fan box (see pic below - circled in red). When I took my unit out of my car there was no screw or clip connecting them together. It was just flapping in the breeze. Thanks.

Confused About White Comfortweave (CW Trim Code)

My 1971 Mustang convertible came with Trim code CW which is white, knit vinyl comfortweave material. I have seen a striped, black and white pattern on the center section for the CW trim code (see pic below from Stocktrader). My convertible still has the original upholstery and the center section...
