    73 convertible top problem

I don't believe there is a relay but there is a circuit breaker usually mounted on the starter solenoid. Check all connections for corrosion and make sure everything is tight.

What Powertrain for My 73 Mustang Convertible?

If you are that close on the 351W you should finish it so you can get the car running and driving. You can always sell it when you are ready to upgrade to something more modern if that is your desire. IMO you can afford to spend a lot of money on gas for what an eco-bust swap or electric...

    Going dead at 80 mph

If by "going dead" you mean it falls on its face and loses power and you didn't upgrade the valve springs when you changed the cam, it is probably valve float. If by "going dead" you mean it turns off like a light switch, it is probably a fuel or spark issue. Fuel is usually the easiest to...

Tim, in my 73 vert with a 460 I am running KYB GR-2's. Probably as close as you'll get to a stock ride.

351 C Engine rebuild. Not an expert, want some solid advice.

You could use the stock intake and it will "work" but with those engine specs you would be leaving power on the table except for torque in the very low rpm range. Ask Brent what intake he recommends for your combo. I suspect it will be the Blue Thunder or the Air Gap. If budget limits you to...

    Headers for a 429 CJ/SCJ

To ding or not to ding? That is the question. I used aftermarket motor mounts and I think that played a role in the need to clearance one tube for the PS box. I would test fit and assess. You may not need to do anything.

    Carb problem

I know on the early street avenger carbs the instructions indicated the see through sight plugs will cloud and discolor and are for temporary use and should be replaced.

Do I still need the steering fluid cooler with a Saginaw pump?

I have been running a Saginaw pump with no cooler for a couple of years with no problems. Unless you are road racing or something I don't believe it's really necessary.

    New intake manifold?

IIRC there are two different part numbers for the Blue Thunder 351C application. One is for the Pantera and one is for everything else. The difference is the angle of the carb pad.
